The Soul Beacons
The Soul Beacons are the backbone of Magnet Recordings. The rhythm that makes the whole organization possible. Drums, Electric bass, guitars and the hifi Hammond organ define the cool funky sounds that could only have been born from the rays of the warm California sun. The Beacons currently are offering multiple vinyl releases, all of which are like little diamonds in a rough.
Lady Sage
Originally hailing from the great plains of Oklahoma, Lady Sage blew into Los Angeles, and the Magnet Recordings organization on the wind. Sage is all business, all soul; she has no time to waste, her sound is raw and cutting. She brings the church, she brings the funk, she brings her heart and soul. Her debut record has grit, and simultaneously an outrageous party, all moving at the speed of 45rpm’s.
RaMond Thomas
RaMond Thomas comes to us via the rugged southern church choirs of Virginia. RaMond now calls Magnet Recordings, and Los Angeles home. Ramond brings a lot of soul, and has a lot to say. We feel his star is only beginning to rise, and we look forward to the followup LP to his debut record, which you can find below!
